Safe
9kMovies asks for no account, installs nothing and offers no file to download. It keeps three things in your browser and nowhere else: your list, your viewing country and the episodes you mark, and the privacy page lists them. The app installs from the browser and updates itself. There is no page asking for a card and no player asking for a plug-in; a page that asks for either is not this site, and the addresses page explains how to recognise the real one.
Legal
The film plays on the service you choose from the Watch now list for the country you select, and every service on that list is a licensed one operating in that country. Choose the country you are in, change it deliberately when you travel, and change it back; the licensed list is different in each place, which is why the country matters more than anything else on the page.
Ratings and ages
Scores are TMDB audience ratings with their vote counts. The age guidance is on the service you open. Adult productions are not listed here.
