What free carries
More than people expect: the older Bollywood catalogue, a large share of the Punjabi, Marathi and Bengali shelves, the South films a year or two after release, and the older seasons of the web series. The new releases sit on the subscriptions first and drift to the free tiers over time; the release calendar explains the usual gap between the cinema and the services.
How the site pays its way
Some services pay a referral fee when a visitor opens a title through Watch now, at the service's ordinary price. That is the whole arrangement; there is no premium tier and no page asking for a card.
